Hi, I’m Vicki, a writer and editor from Scotland and currently living in upstate New York. My first children’s book, Not Sorry To Be Me, is releasing in Fall 2025, and I couldn’t be more excited to share its message of inclusivity, kindness, and friendship with young readers—and their parents. As the mom of a neurodiverse pre-teen, I believe every child has been created with a unique God-given voice and perspective, and I’m passionate about advocating for a world in which no child should ever have to apologize for simply being themselves.
It is also my privilege and joy to cultivate and create words that offer faith-based encouragement, inspiration, and hope. I have contributed to several compilation devotionals and Bible studies, and have written for Joyful Life Magazine, The Devoted Collective, Gospel-Centred Discipleship, and more. I also work as an editor for Torn Curtain Publishing, a Christian Publishing Agency based in New Zealand, and love to take on clients as a freelance editor when time allows!
I have been married to my best friend since 2010, and am blessed to be mom to two incredible young ladies, Isla and Esme, and a cat mom to our fluffy Siberian, Clarabelle. Our family loves to go on hikes and explore the outdoors in all seasons, though Fall is my favorite. I am also equally content to be snuggled under a blanket, reading a novel with a steaming cup of Earl Grey tea.
I would love to chat with you about how I can share my message with your classroom, school, library, or parents’ group. Connect with me through my contact page or on Instagram or Facebook. I look forward to hearing from you!
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
